We're all Nerds...on the inside.

We're all different. We come from different backgrounds, races, ethnic groups, families, religions, and lifestyles. We may look cool to the rest of the world on the outside, but we're all just nerds on the inside. We're nerds because we don't fit in. We are outsiders, outcasts; we cannot reach the standard set for us by the one who created us.

God's standards are not the same standards by which we measure ourselves, or each other. We don't exactly fit the same mold as Him even though we were created in His image. The reason is because of sin. God says that "All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23). That means that no matter how hard we try, we simply have no chance of becoming sinless like God is sinless. The Bible tells us that sin is not allowed in God's presence in Heaven. How then, can we possibly make it to Heaven if we carry the cargo of sin in our hearts?

Jesus claimed to be the sinless Son of God. He said, ""I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6) In other words, Jesus was saying that the only way to the Father in Heaven was through His son, Jesus Christ. The reason Jesus could say that was because He ended up paying the penalty for all our sins, past present and future, on the cross at Calvary. God placed upon Jesus the sin of the world and allowed Christ to bear that punishment upon himself. Jesus became the sacrifice that the whole world needed in order to become free from the power and penalty of sin (eternal death). Because of Christ's death and His victorious resurrection over death and the grave, we too can receive His power to become the children of God! "Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God." (John 1:12)

Now, either Jesus was a liar, or completely crazy, or he truly was who he claimed to be. Who is Jesus to you? Will you accept God's free gift of eternal life because of the price that Jesus paid for you? It is as simple as believing and speaking in a simple prayer to the Lord. "...if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." The Bible also says that "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness." (I John 1:9) Just a simple prayer of confession and belief in God will change your life from this moment forward.

If you say that prayer, please tell someone right away! Find some other believers in Christ, or a pastor or a church that will help you to learn more about your new life in Jesus Christ. If you need help, or more information, just email gpbmin@yahoo.com and you will be contacted with help and prayer. God bless you in the name of Jesus!
